Android apps have a memory limit, and creating very large files can exceed this limit, resulting in an “Insufficient memory” error.
Possible Solutions:
Limit Link Previews
Try disabling link previews:
Go to Settings > Formatting > Link Previews, disable the option, then fully restart the app (Settings > Advanced > Restart App) and try again.
If this helps and you still want link previews, try disabling the memory cache instead:
Go to Settings > Formatting > Link Previews > Cache Size and set the memory size to 0.Choose a Different Format
HTML is a lightweight and efficient format that can store many messages in a single file.
If you prefer PDF, enable the Searchable PDF option (Settings > Exporting > PDF) to reduce memory usage.
If those don’t work, try the Images format. It may take longer to generate, but it's much less likely to hit memory limits.
Split Into Multiple Files
Breaking the export into smaller parts can help:
In the format selection dialog, click the settings icon next to your chosen format. For Photos, limit the height of each file.
For PDF, HTML, or Docx, limit the number of messages per file.
