How to Resolve an "Unknown Error"

Explanation and solution:

When an "Unknown Error" occurs, a log containing error details is automatically sent to the developer (it does not include any personal information). If you encounter this error, the best next step is to wait for the next update, which will most likely include a fix. In the meantime, this article outlines a few temporary workarounds you can try until an update is available.

 

Workaround 1:

Try a different sharing method (PDF, HTML, etc.). The error may be related to a specific sharing option.

 

Workaround 2: (If you need a PDF)

In this workaround, you will export to an HTML file and then convert it to a PDF.

  1. Open the app, select the required messages, tap "Share", and select HTML.
  2. Send the file to your PC or Mac (for example, via email or another transfer method).
  3. Download the file to your desktop (if you sent it via email, do not open it directly from the email).
  4. Open the downloaded file in Google Chrome.
  5. Press Ctrl+P (Cmd+P on Mac) to open the print dialog.
  6. Next to "Destination", click "Change" and select "Save as PDF" Capture.PNG
  7. Click "Save".
